The property is located about five road miles from Twin Bridges (pop: around 450) A paved county maintained airport proximate to Twin Bridges can accommodate most private aircraft. Commercial air service is available in Butte, about 45 miles north, or in Bozeman, about 90 miles northeast. Dillon (pop; around 7,000) is located approx. 30 miles SW and is home to The University of Montana Western. These areas also offer expanded medical, commercial, institutional, and social amenities.

The historic towns of Nevada City and Virginia City where the famous Alder Gulch Gold Rush took place in the 1800’s. are located approx. 30 miles SW. Though considered ghost towns by Montana history, they are still very much alive and home to year round locals. Yellowstone National Park is approximately two hours road travel away.

The Big Hole River, which fronts the property for approximately 3,400 feet, is a well know trout stream and is rich in history. Lewis and Clark surely traveled past the property in their quest for a river passage to the West Coast of America. About five river miles downstream from the property, the Big Hole River confluences with the Beaverhead River and forms the Jefferson, the west fork of the Missouri River. Description of the land
